National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB)

Description:
The National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB) is founded on the belief that people who are deaf-blind are valued members of society and are entitled to the same opportunities and choices as other people. NFADB advocates for all people who are deaf-blind of any age and cognitive ability, supports national policy to benefit people who are deaf-blind, encourages the founding and strengthening of family organizations in each state, shares information related to deaf-blindness, provides resources and referrals, collaborates with professionals, and assists in the development of materials and training seminars that benefit family members. NFADB, a national nonprofit membership organization, takes part in national projects for the deaf-blind community to ensure consumer and family representation, and keeps abreast of current trends in service delivery.
