CDC National AIDS Hotline TTY Service

The CDC National AIDS Hotline TTY Service is open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Eastern Time. The TTY staff can answer questions about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The TTY staff is trained in English, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). All calls are free and private.

The website also provides HIV/AIDS videotape resources list for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. An annotated bibliography of published research on HIV/AIDS and Health among the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is also available online.

A Deaf Chat Room is available on Tuesdays: 1 lam-lpm and 8pm-10pm EST and Thursdays: 1 lam-lpm and 8pm-10pm EST for people who want to discuss about STD/fflV/AIDS.
